Becoming a parent is an exciting and challenging time. There’s so much to think about when it comes to having a baby and raising a child. You might wonder if what you’re feeling is normal and if your baby is developing properly. You may need help finding local resources, or just have questions about being a parent. A healthy start is so important for the entire family.
A nurse can come to your home, provide prenatal and postpartum education, weigh your baby, assess skin, eating, and sleeping patterns, as well as provide home safety and car seat education. Suggestions for infant development will be shared. Public Health also provides lactation support for breastfeeding Moms. This program is free to any resident of Le Sueur County.
Home visits are voluntary and free. These services are reimbursed fully by either insurance or grants. Visits are around your schedule and as often as you choose.
