The Environmental Services Department oversees all septic systems within the County’s applicable jurisdiction in regard to:

  • Alteration
  • Design
  • Installation
  • Maintenance
  • Management
  • Monitoring
  • Operation
  • Siting

Compliance Inspections

Le Sueur County requires compliance inspections for the following:

  • At any time the Department deems appropriate, such as upon receiving a complaint or other information of system failure
  • For all zoning permit applications
  • Prior to sale (the landowner is a responsible party to provide this information)
