Le Sueur County Water Testing Clinic 2025

Le Sueur County Environmental Services in partnership with the Le Sueur SWCD will be hosting a water testing clinic on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 from 9:00am-5:30pm. Water Tests that are available include: Nitrates, Coliform Bacteria, Lead, Arsenic, and Manganese.
Payment Information
Before you submit your form and payment, please contact the office as you may be eligible for a free test (see image below for areas that are eligible for free tests). There is limited funding available and free testing will be offered on a first come first serve basis. If you are eligible for grant funding to pay for your tests, you only need to fill out the water test order form.
If you want to sample your water and you are located outside of these watersheds, you would still be able to test your water; however, the costs of the tests would not be covered by grant funding. Check or Cash are accepted. Order forms that are sent without payment will not be accepted.
Please drop off your order form and/or payment at the Environmental Services Department, location information is located above. If you are dropping off your water testing form and/or payment in person, an appointment is required.
Water Test(s) Pick Up
Your water tests can be picked up at the Environmental Services Department prior to the Water Testing Clinic Day. Waters tests may be picked up when your drop off your order form and/or payment or you may schedule a different day to pick up your water tests. Le Sueur County does not mail or deliver water tests, you must pick up your water test(s) in person. If you are picking up your water tests, an appointment is required.
Drop Off Day
Drop Off Day will be on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 from 9:00am-5:30pm. Samples may not be dropped off early. The only day samples will be accepted is Wednesday, October 29th 2025.
Please note that all samples should only be taken on Wednesday, October 29th 2025. Samples should not be collected earlier than 8:00am and should be dropped off no later than 5:30pm. Lead Samples should be taken right away on Wednesday morning before any water is ran (water in pipes should sit for at least 6 hours). Any samples that are dropped off after 5:30pm will not be accepted.
Please note our collection times and drop off times are strict due to the processing time and collection protocols that are required for specific tests. Coliform Bacteria samples need to be submitted to the lab within 24 hours to get an accurate test result.
The drop off location will be located at the Le Sueur Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) shop. See image below for drop location details.
