LE SUEUR COUNTY BROADBAND UPDATE!

Opportunity to update the Minnesota broadband map!

Dear Le Sueur County Residents:

Le Sueur County is continuing to explore funding options for reliable broadband. $651 million of federal funds are coming to Minnesota. However, eligibility for those funds is based on FCC maps that currently show Le Sueur County is predominately covered with reliable broadband at speeds of 100/20. Which we know is not true!

Only you can help fix this. 

Please take the time to visit the following: Link to MN Challenge Portal. 

It will allow you to speed test your location and add it to the MN data base for more accurate information.

Directions on how to complete the SpeedTest:

• Tests must be completed on a laptop or desktop computer in immediate proximity to the residential/business computer gateway.
• Click on the Challenge Portal link above,
• In the search bar that appears above Le Sueur County, type in your address
• Clicking on the button it will do the speed test and record it on the state map for you.
• No need to go further.

If your address shows up as unserved, you will be asked to provide personal information and the Broadband Navigator will send you a link for 3 more speed tests.

If your address does not come up on the map, click on the Red Flag and report the address is not on the map. Also send me an email and let me know your address, as your address may not be on the FCC map either.
